Modeling of fingerprintable information sources
The report presents a model that classifies fingerprintable information sources. The permission system of the Android operating system was used as basis of the model. The information sources are classified in the model based on the permissions required to access them. The model therefore reflects the number of methods, content providers and fields that are accessible for applications by granting the respective permissions. This makes it possible to assess which permissions contribute to the fingerprintability of a device.
