Voting Systems for Public Blockchains
In this project, we analyzed different blockchain based voting and signaling systems for public blockchains. These voting mechanisms are different from official voting systems. As an example, not every voter must be limited to one single vote. Also, some votes may count more than others. Instead, votes are weighted by the capital of the voter or voters get voting rights based on their computation power.
Furthermore, most voting systems do not provide a secret ballot. In light of this, it does not make sense to compare these systems with official voting systems. The presented systems aim at helping to make decisions about the future of the underlying system.
