Analysis of the Fingerprintability of iOS devices
This report examines the sources of information provided by the iOS programming interface suitable for recognizing iOS devices and their users across different applications. For this purpose, a framework is used that automatically retrieves these data from the iOS programming interface. For the subsequent analysis, the retrieved data is converted into a structured format. This allows the comparison of the collected data from different devices. For the evaluation, these data were collected and analyzed on different iOS devices. The report uses the collected data to show which types of information that can be used to create a fingerprint are accessible via the methods and properties of the programming interface.
