Compressible Blockchain
In this project, we propose a compressible blockchain. The main idea is to use a second, linked chain that stores the UTXO set. This way, a node can load a compressed view of the blockchain up to this point and only needs to download subsequent blocks in the primary chain. The evaluation shows that it is possible to save up to 93% of the bandwidth and disk space, compared to a non-compressible blockchain.
