Correctness, Completeness, and Non-Repudiation of Transparency Logs

posted in #IT Security on the 28.12.2020

Correctness and Completeness of are two desirable features for Transparency Logs. Unfortunately, when it comes to data processing events, these features cannot be guaranteed due to lack of mechanisms to prevent data processors from logging incorrect information or not recording a data processing event in the log. This project aimed at investigating mechanisms to overcome this challenge and to ensure non-repudiation of data transactions. Potential non-repudiation protocols such as fair exchange protocols were analyzed in connection with existing logging mechanisms.
